Nick, good to see you. you must have fancied your chances if you'd been able to race?

when i saw you turn up i just assumed you had cycled from Cheltenham so was unsurprised when you said you had...

well it is only 29 miles from my place to stratford....aint far.

Well if i had been 'fit' I could probably knock out 3.20 or 3.30 TMW, but if i had been fit i wouldnt have been racing, so its sort of a non-starter hypothetical type thingy.

There was quite a strong headwind on saturday, so the windburn thing is qute likeyl.

Clearly my expensive moisturiser is doing the job then

Jj - Agree....   lip balm has been out in force for the last 3 days....  That along with chaffing from carrying stuff, dodgy toenails and tight calfs we must look just delightful   Hee hee!

Thanks Nick for confirming my thoughts about the strong headwind..........I'm really wondering how much faster i would be if I did it the otherway..........
28/09/2010 at 08:18
well it would be downhill, so, with a following wind too - you'd probably win.

Prue - zackly. I only had one cider at CP1 and another one at the end. And Other People ate my chips. So ner.

next year I'll get my sherpa to have chips ready for me at CP2 - they would turbo-charge my legs
28/09/2010 at 13:35
lol, I'm hoping you're going to start renting out your sherpa. he looked after us excellently all weekend. I've just had his risotto for lunch.
