It's taken me six months to recover from the shame of being beaten by carl in a race but I've finally managed to pluck up the courage to enter another.

I'm going to do the north pole marathon, apparently it is a bit chilly, but luckily i'm very fat so probably wont need anymore than a t-shirt.

Really would like to do this but can't afford it at the moment. The idea of running with only six feet of ice (which is a lot but doesn't sound it) protecting me from endless freezing cold water is also a bit of a turn off. If I had the cash though, this would definitely be on my to do list...

Box Hill's the limit of my cold weather endurance at present. I might turn my heating off as a show of solidarity during the event though*.

Fair challenge for sure. Fair play to you fella.

I think I've got a couple of tennis rackets in size 9 (Euro 43) if you're looking for footwear.
