First time for me & looking forward to it.
It'll be my 4th (I think!). It's good fun, but very hard going. It's up to you, but I would focus on getting round and enjoying it for your first time, it's certainly an experience.
I'm 'hoping' for sub 2 hours, but we'll see...
Same as you, looking for sub 2 hours or if possible sub 1 hour 50 which is the para recruitment requirement.
Well did it and glad I did. Hardest thing I've ever done to date.

It is a fun race, I enjoyed it the last couple of years when I have done it. bear in mind for the 1:50 in real life you would have to carry a weapon too, which you do notice!
Yeah noticed that & when I was first interested in doing it I was hoping they would be having us carry dummy weapons. But it wasn't to be. I've seen another race called the " Fan Dance " which does have runners carry dummy weapons.
