I realise this is an old thread to ressurect, but there is now a South Downs Way Race.

I'm doing Trailwalkeer in a few weeks time, hoping to do the 100km in 18 hours, so running about half of it I think should just about do it, goodness knows how some of the Gurkhas do it in 10-12 hours, there are a lot of big hills in the way! It's also a fairly unforgiving surface for lotys of it, lots of golf ball size flint stones!
Good luck anyone thinking of this race!
Ok now. Really tempted. Will see how two 50+ milers go this year before I think about enetering. Also right about the same time Berlin marathon would be happening which I fancy doing again
