Probably doing leicester marathon at start of October, and still got maps from a really good rural 35m mile race I dis last summer so will do that possibly as an overnight run/walk maybe November or December? Also there's another rural 40m route that goes past my back door. It's a race I run each march so will also dobthat course again. You got anything longer on the horizon?

Mr F, I'll be looking for a 30 plus, maybe in November/December. Other than that think I'll just focus on getting the miles in.

Hi Chris. Have you done any other ultras? This will be my first 100 too! There's quite a few first timers I think!

Hi Purplepig - I did the XNRG Druids Ridgeway multiday last November and planning to do the same event again this year.  Have big ideas about going on to do many other events, I would love to explore the World doing unusual events.

Wow, sounds like you have big plans! Good for you. How far was the Druids?

It was 82 miles over 3 days - a different type of challenge trying to get going again each day with stiff legs.

How about you?  What's your bag?

If you read my bit on page 12 of this thread, I pretty much gave my running history in one go! Have a look...Im quite new to all this really.

3 days must be hard psychologically too

Good post on page 12 - I am always interested to hear other peoples stories.

I have started a blog to record my training this year and my aspirations for the future - check it out if you wish at http://goingultra.tumblr.com/

Interesting. Good website.

I think I'll just be elated to finish this ultra...left it too late in life really to get anywhere particularly with my running, but hey...I never thought I'd be able to say Ive run 75 miles...so who knows?

Hello.

Been away for the weekend being a pirate at the Outlaw. Supporting duties this year. So I only managed a bit of OW.

I have however entered the NDW 50 in a few weeks.

Well done guys! I haven't done anything long since May! I have a marathon in September, so really need to start increasing my mileage. You're way ahead of me!

Veggie, you'll be old hat by the time the TP100 comes along!!
