Training plan? Now you tell me.

This will be 19 miles of unknown for me. I have to pack tonight, as we're driving up to Carlisle tomorrow evening. Anyone else around on the Friday, I'll be playing the spot the ultra-runner around the town.

I guess we'll all be around on the Friday I'll be there around midday hunting for weekend parking and will be staying in the local travelodge, I'm told there is a decent Italian within a couple of hundred yards so that will do me nicely

I think I'm at the Ibis, not sure if there'll be enough room for my kit.

I'm staying at the Ibis, and will be there tomorrow evening from about 7. Hopefully I can hook up with a few of you ?

EGG-I'm hoping we get to see the floral mac. Good luck with both of your races.

I am hoping to catch the 12:22 from Newcastle which gets to Carlisle around 2 but it all depends on the journey up from Wiltshire.

I'm staying at the Premier Inn which has a Brewer's Fayre in it, I might look around for somewhere else.

Less than 68 hours to go.

I'll be in the Ibis too. Will be there friday.

Unfortunately Carl - regarding the Floral Mac, my daughter has kindly found me a similar one in Black, I'll be traveling up alone, if anyone else is, and fancies meeting up, shout up, I'm sure Carlisle can't be that big a place

we're in the Travelodge in Carlisle, about a mile from the castle I think.  Will be looking for somewhere to eat Friday night so we might see some of you out and about!

We did our last gentle 5 miles last night and were buzzing - can't wait to get going.  Packing still worrying me slightly but will have a trial run tonight and then hopefully I will feel better about it.

I did my last run this morning, 7 miles up and down some Wiltshire hills. Lovely. The Garmins are both fully charged and ready to go, much like myself.
I haven't ruled out doing a 3 miler on Friday, depends how much time I have.

Packing tomorrow morning and making a trip to Sainsbury's for 'sustenance'

Strewth, I think the run might be easier than the packing, I hit the wall ages ago.

Just noticed that the Ibis hotel is next to a night-club, oh joy.

Tapir mood swings in effect.

Well that's all my training done- 4 miles tonight. Why is it the last runs always seem the hardest? I'm sure I've done easier 20 milers in my training than that last 4!
Staying at my brother in laws Friday night so hope to get some good sleep!

Last run for me will be Thursday evening, a slow 10k, so far this week I've put all my miles in using the bike, seems to give my legs a new lease of life.

Am I the only one struggling to fit a sleeping bag, kit etc... into a 65 litre bag?

I'm glad I'm only doing the 1 day, far less to pack.
I'm just constructing my list of things to pack for the run, for the rest of the weekend and things I still need to buy.

Good luck on the packing to those still struggling. I'm going for the 'throw it in and hope' approach.

TH2, my hotel in Newcastle said it was in a built up area and may be subject to noise. I'm hoping that I'll be so tired that I can sleep through anything. That's the plan anyway.

Going to pack later bit worried now about 65L bag thinking of taking big sports bag should we take a rucksack ? Better not take the kitchen sink now.

put all my stuff on the bed last night and measured it up against the 65L pack.  Gawd knows how that's going to work - might get the kit in but the sleeping bag's a definite no no.  And that's before we even Start on the food .............
