Hi

Can anyone recommend a trail shoe with decent ankle support? Want something that will give some support to my Achilles and get quite a bit of pain especially on long uphill climbs  Had a look at Salomon Men's Ultra Low GTX Trail Running Shoes – has anyone used them?

 Cheers

Si

Not sure abut trail shoes with any real support, Inov8 do a Fast and Light range of boots:

A friend, Phil, has had problems turning his ankle later in races and has ben training with light braces on he seems to have settled on Mueller A209's these may be an alternative:

Si,

I have achilles tendonitis.  I ease the stress on the achilles/ankles with heel cups (sorbothene) that raise the heels and reduce the pull when going uphill as well as reducing general shock.  You can also buy socks with a bit more support.
