This thread is soooo speedy ... reminds me of the Two Ronnies sketch where they answer the answer before the next question if you know what I mean!

Lovin' those shoe colours

"NID - could just keep running after the finish like Forrest Gump! " - thought about that but decided the offer of a sausage roll and medal would be too much torture

Eat the sausage roll and stick the medal in a pocket...

Just packed for a Peak District run with a pal, weather means my favourite but least used shoes get an outing, Inov8 x-talon 190's, also perfect conditions to test my Sportspursuit purchases of Icebreaker GT200 merino wool top and socks. I'm lucky to have Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park on my doorstep however nothing qute like some proper hills to pep up your Saturday run. Bit like a kid waiting for his favourite school trip though, am all packed and raring to go with a couple of hours to spare! Better go in search of some brownie points ..... breakfast in bed darling?

Yes pls Alastair. Two eggs please

slaneuk - poached, scrambled or fried?

Cracking run, mud, rocks but no tears, weather was even kind no rain and only a little mist on the tops, MRS S suitaby impressed with breakfast in bed, so much so no mention that I had deserted her on our wedding aniversary!

I'd like the healthy option pls - fried! And that's a worry, no mention. Almost certainly it's brooding in the background

Slaneuk - For once managed to avoid the doghouse, mind you cost was somewhat extravagent.

Icebreaker GT200 -  Absolutely fantastic, dumped the waterproof after a mile and ran with the top only when I was warm it was cool, when it got cold it was warm. More than a touch heavier than man made fibres though.

Icebreaker - Merino Wool socks again, absolutely awesome, much better than my usual Smartwool (and they are pretty good).
