I ask as I'm a kinesiology practitioner so when I see people bandy around rock tape or kenesio tape etc I'm wondering what they are seeing with it
I am not sure if it is placebo, but I am glad it works and I din become over relying on it. I never tape myself again since last july
don't expect any tape to cure you off anything, but it might help you dealing with it
So, to run or not to run the revised TT50? Decisions, decisions. Latest estimate from the organisers is that the revised route has taken 5.5 miles off - so it's no longer a 50-miler. And of course it's now mostly on road (which I could accept), and it's going to be self-navigated with a route description which - well I can only pray it might mean something when I get there, because just reading it, it's gobbledygook...
A very nice mention for WIB on irunfar: http://www.irunfar.com/2013/02/2013-rocky-raccoon-race-preview.html

fabeee, go go go boys
4 miles of xc for me round park - scottish masters xc champs, ankle no worse or better for it anyway, much fun although not proper xc but good to wear my club vest for the first time in about a year!!
overall , wib in 7th and james in 8th so far....
james finished in 10th , Wib seems to have picked up and is on 4th lap on 16 hours....maybe he had a dodgy tum again
Hip, hip hooray, feel like a runner again, after some months of low mileage, I put in a decent shift this week and capped it off with a marvelous mudddy trot our with DAYTREKKER on the Dukeries Ultra course. A cracking little run out complete with a short wade through thigh deep water and a comedy moment when I placed my foot in what appeared to be a puddle only to find it was a pot hole of some depth, waist deep to be accurate. Nothing coffee and Jaffa cakes couldn't fix though.
yes saw he finished in under22 so thats good, but yeah hope he hasnt trashed himself doing so
Tim Bateson and I have just entered events which will make one heck of a back to back weekend in July:
Sat 6th: Chevy chase - 20 miles, +4000ft ascent
Sun 7th: Coniston trail marathon - 26.2 miles, +3500ft ascent
There are still places in both if anyone fancies joining us? Better be quick though as Chevy Chase will sell out in the next day or so.
Is there room for another wannabe Ultra runner in here?
I am hoping to run my first Ultra in 2014, (Cant this year as already commited to two marathons and some other stuff). I was wondering if anyone knows of any Ultra running clubs in the Uk and/or coaches? I am struggling to find any on t'web.
