Welsh Ultra Running Series - 2013

Firstly Merry Xmas to you all

As we are fast approaching 2013 it seemed an appropriate time to start a new thread for the 2013 series.

Round 1 (33 miles, The Black Mountains) is filling fast with 125 entries approaching.

This round more than any other challenges us on parking spaces, we are going to look at weatherproof overflow parking over the Xmas period so hope to be able to raise the entry limit further if required.

We have seen many more of you taking advantage of the discounted series entry option for 2013 which will take a fair proportion of the starting slots, our expectation is that each round will sell out early so please bear this in mind if you are keen to make the starting line.

Lastly we now have Trail Marathon option running alongside the Ultra's. For Round 1 this will be a cheeky half marathon following the Ultra course to the first high point before following a ridge north and then re-joining the Ultra course for the fantastic descent down the Dragon's Back and back to the finish.

Hello All,

Entries have been extended to 175 places, we are down to the last 15 approx.

Also planning a training weekend mid Feb on and around the course, if anyone is interested shout and I will post details once agreed, no cost, very relaxed, turn up, run up and down a few mountains, meet like minded people and have some fun!

Hi frenchy.  Looking forward to Black Mountains.  Are the details, route, etc the same as on the website?  For example I notice the map says 'Oct 2011'.
