whats trainers to wear - Ultra / Adventure racing

Hi there. Don't actually understand the difference between racing/racer trainers, but what shoes you should wear for ultras really depends on (1) the terrain and (2) personal preference, usually figured out by trial and error.

If you're doing a road ultra, probably just wear the same road shoes you'd use to run a marathon. If you're going off-road, you'll probably do better in some sort of trail shoe. But some folk run off-road in road shoes and get on okay so like I say, personal preference and trial and error...

I'd wear red ones. Red ones are the fastest I think. Or green ones. But only at the weekend.

anyway i think we shoouldnt fail to mention the importance of socks not clashing with the trainer choice anyway, surely THATS more important?

Red with green laces? Eugh, now you're just being silly Lou, if you're to going to take this discussion seriously there's no point.

WiB green for the weekends. And for best, don't forget that. But red otherwise. Unless you're running on the road, in which case white. Or black.
