What's with the inane spam responses ...

Fine! Good Skins! Be Prepared! Thanks Here!  ... etc etc

Not even a hint of cheap perscription drugs or penis extensions .. what's the point???

Sometimes when you click on there is a practically subliminal link that disappears almost instantaneously (I know that is a tautologous statement but couldn't think of any other way to express it ).  Perhaps RW have managed to delete the spam, but not the spammer.....errmm if that makes sense.

"tautologous" ... good wordage BBH (altho i did have to google it )

Look at that, spam on a thread about spam

I am not very technological in these matters but it has occurred to me that the spammers' may actually be disaffected forumites getting a sense of satisfaction by viewing the frustration that is caused.

They really need to stop people from posting for a week or so when first registered, surely that would solve the issue?

Let's Confuse! RW by putting! Random exclamation marks! In all our posts! May as well get! Some fun out of it!

How about!

Some long!

Spaces as!! Well?

19/09/2011 at 19:22
That didn't work too well - it corrected itself to double spacing. Maybe I'm just not cut out to be a spammer.

A couple of weeks ago RW entered into dialogue and asked what we thought could be done to stop this. Since then things have got much worse and RW towers have gone quiet again ...

To find a small positive it does seem to be short lived each time but they cover a lot of ground in a short space of time
