Hi chaps,

In 20 minutes or so, the tech team will apply a site build. This should not result in any downtime, but I apologise in advance should we experience any impact on the smooth running of the site.

The build will improve things on the back and front end, and for the forum, with some minor style changes. As well as a design facelift, the updated forum comes with a number of admin benefits, including better spam control.

Best of luck Alice

Hopefully will improve a lot of things

Hope the spammers don't stuff things up for you.

Ah, I guess that is why the site is running a little slowly?

I am all for anything that helps control spam!

Well it hasn't fixed the fact that once I'm in the forum I can no longer see my "my forum, my bookmarks", etc.

So, that worked well

Does anyone else find it slightly ironic that the post from RW saying that they are fixing the problem has been posted on by the same Spam it's trying to stop?

for some strange reason I had email noctifetions in my spam folder today

Isn't My Forum etc in My Profile?  It is for me.

Compo - That'll be down to your ISP rather than RW.  Just mark them as not spam and they should come through to your inbox.  I don't understand how all that works as sometimes emails from people like Amazon go to my inbox and other times spam.

Looks like I may have been a bit premature further above (not the first time) as I've not noticed any obvious spam today.  If the fix has worked, well done guys.
