I cannot acess them

I am unable to acess the smiley icons and other links that other peeps seem to be able to get. I have been told how to get them, but, it doesn't work for me. I have downloaded Java in a hope that this would help. It doesn't. Why can't I get them?????

Ceal, don't know what you've tried but if you type a '1' before the .asp and then carriage return that should work - you need to do it on every thread tho (or I do!)

thanks, but I can't do that.

On one thread someone took me to a link which opened up all the icons and for 2 posts I could use them, then I couldn't post anything at all. Until I had got rid of the different enablers.

When I click link for the url, I get a security warning and in fact I have to do the url links manually.

Works for macs, but you don't get a toolbar. :'(

Oh, don't know then ceal. Tbh I find it a real faff that you have to do it on every thread.

Till I get a pc that works properly (hopefully it'll arrive on Saturday!) then I can't use a lot of the new functions anyway.
