Gear Pick of the Week: Garmin Forerunner 110

Garmin Forerunner 110 (£149.99)

Kerry says: Don't let the relatively low price point fool you. This GPS running watch may be simple, but the technology all there - you'll be hooked up with all the essential stats from your run.

Time is displayed in large numbers on the neat screen while you run. Average pace and distance also appear on screen, enabling you to keep an eye on your progress as you run.

An estimate of calories burned is provided, and if you have the heart rate monitor, made even more accurate.

Connect the Forerunner to your computer with the USB cable and track your training and racing career with the compatible Garmin Connect software.

The battery lasts up to eight hours in training mode and two weeks in power-save mode and is easily rechargeable through a plug-in docking system.

Perfect for both recreational and serious runners, this smartly priced (and right now, on sale) GPS watch will give you highly accurate feedback to support your training.

Buy it now from the Runner's World Store - on sale reduced to just £99.99.

I love my new Garmin Forerunner 110. I've been running for years with a combo of other ways to record distance etc (Nike+, MapMyRun etc). Having this watch makes it all so simple and easy and it helps so much keeping a clear track on my average pace, perfect for me
