Review: Reflex diet protein

Another diet protein product has hit the market so we’ve been consuming more protein than usual, waiting for our biceps to grow. They claim to, ‘have used the latest advances in protein and weight loss technology’ to help support your training and a healthy well-defined body. So what exactly does this mean?

First up the source of protein used is a blend of whey protein and micellar casein, which contains bioactive peptides. This allegedly helps curb hunger. Although I’m cynical of something that claims to curb the appetite and normally an ‘eat when I’m hungry type’, I was pleasantly surprised to find that a scope in my porridge post morning run or workout kept me nicely full till lunchtime.

The next unique selling point of the shake is the calcium content; a daily serving contains over 100% of your RDA of dairy calcium, which studies have shown help accelerate fat loss. 3.2g of Clarinol CLA is also added which Reflex say can decrease fat whilst increasing lean muscle mass, if you’re cynical there is supporting research here.

Green tea extract and L-tartrate are also added which both have a reputation to support weight loss. Finally, the shake contains no added sugar. So if you’re dieting or trying the slim down this is a great option when you’re training hard. The shake also taste delicious and comes in banoffee flavor. Click here to buy or read more.
