ASICS Target 26.2: PB Hunter

PB Hunter - Alex

  • Target: Sub 3 hours
  • Coach: Steve Smythe
  • Marathon PB: 3.06.10 (London 2008)
  • Schedule: See Alex's training schedule

Strengths: "Dedication to my training and the determination to finally put all the pieces together to succeed this time!"

Weaknesses: "Giving myself a hard time when I don't do well and things don't go to plan."

About me: "I love my running, I'm prepared to go the extra mile to get to my goal, motivation is not an issue to get the hard graft done! I have been trying to break the 3 hour marathon barrier for about 6 years now. In the previous 7 campaigns I've trained well, got my hard sessions done, got my long runs done, but something has always been missing on the big day. A knee injury last year meant no running for a few months and it took 8 months to recover fully. This has really focussed my mind to make the most of my running. I'm a very determined person and really driven to succeed. I have the work ethic, but don't have all the answers. I really believe with the expert guidance from the Asics Target 26.2 team I can find the missing piece of my marathon puzzle and finally get my sub 3 in Paris in April."
