Andy Dixon, Editor-in-Chief

Runner since: 2007

Favourite race distance: Half-marathon

"I run because... it makes me feel good about myself and means it's fine to have the odd plate of chips (quality carbs!). It blitzes stress, and when I'm running, there are no more problems, only solutions."

Joe Mackie, Deputy Editor

Runner since: 2001

Favourite race distance: 10K

"I run because... I love it. I love the buzz I get from an intense interval session, I love the way it frees my mind from all the stresses of everyday life, I love the sense of achievement every time you cross a finish line. And I love all the little victories along the way – like nailing a quick training run, or every time you go past someone. Running doesn’t let you down – if you put the effort in, you know you’ll always get the rewards.”

Nick Thackray, Art Director

Favourite race distance:

"I run because...

Kerry McCarthy, Senior Writer

Runner since: 2003

Favourite race distance: From the finishing line to the beer tent! Aside from that, half-marathon

"I run because... it's one of the best ways I know to keep fit and to get uncomplicated time alone to lose yourself in your own thoughts, and because if it all goes wrong on race day there's nobody else to blame..."

Lisa Morgan, Senior Sub Editor

Runner since: 2007

Favourite race distance: 10K

"I run because... I love that sense of freedom you get while you're out for a run. I'm a country girl at heart, so my favourite routes go through woodland and along pretty lanes - it's a great way to get some fresh air. Though I must admit I'm a fair-weather runner."

Ruth Emmett, Contributing Editor/Warm Ups Editor

Runner since: 2009

Favourite race distance: Half-marathon

"I run because... it's a tailor-made excuse to (temporarily) forget all about my other responsibilities and get out into nature for a while. And because I like adding to my medal collection!"

Hi there, my name is Dan Kirkland and I recently completed 4 marathons in 4 days for charity.  I wondered if it would be something you might want to cover in your magazine.

You can read my story about the run on mygreatrun.com - see latest blog article.

I look forward to hearing from you and won't be offended if you are not interested

Dear Team

I would like to make contact with the best person for me send samples to of a new safety accessory range for runners for autumn 2012.

In the first instance I can provide a video link so that they can see if this is of interest to the magazine, before sending sample packs.

Please can you advise?

Hi..

My name is Stuart, I am an Ex British Soldier who has served in Iraq amongst other places and have currently set myself an amazing 1300 mile (50 marathons) run from my wifes home town of Sucany in Slovakia back to Cheshire, my home town in the United Kingdom and I pledge to do it in 50 days or less.
I am running this epic challenge for 2 charities - ABF The Soldiers Charity and the Childrens Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).
I am emailing to ask for any help, support and possible story in your mag to help raise as much money & awareness as possible for my 2 amazing charities.
I understand you are super busy and alot of people probably ask similar things, however, I believe this challenge is well worthy due to the physical demand of it.  It will also help many British soldiers and British Children suffering with terminal illness and disability in the UK.
I will start my challenge on 23rd March 2013 and throughout the next 8 months leading up I am training hard and also uploading my workouts to my site so the nation can also get fit with me.
Any help and support you could offer me will be hugely appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you for reading..
