So much inspires me to run these days. It started with losing my Mom to cervical cancer.  I think about her every single run.  Paula Radcliff is one of my inspirations as well.  Not only is he is fantastic, world-class athlete but a Mom too!

Just being out in the open inspires me.   I've just started running with a friend after 4 years of solo running - I was buzzing when I got back - so much more enjoyable.   I love getting out to train so that I can improve on my finish times when I do events.   I'm doing the Brooks Brighton 10k in a couple of weeks and I'm really looking forward to it.

Just come back from a primary school cross country event that I have organised. So inspiring seeing young people just going out there running as fast as they can and loving it! Not getting bogged down in equipment, music or injury just out there doing it. No more moaning about niggles, I am reaching for my trainers now to remind myself why I love running! Unleashing the 9 year old!

This is the honest to God truth. My grandfather was entered into hospice last month. My family and I are the chief caregivers and juggling longs nights, work days and marathon training has been very trying.

Running has been my therapy these last 5 weeks. I run longer than intended because it feels good to feel free, mull over my emotions and thoughts privately. Every time a planned run feels hard or I'm not motivated to complete it I think about him, lying in his bed unable to ever walk again and I run because I can.

It's no longer about me anymore. It's about enjoying the body and life that I took for granted. And that's the truth.

I feel inspired by Paulas postive approach to everything she does and she is an inspiration to me in several ways. Every time I run I think about Paula and what she has achieved. Other than that there is something about the fresh air and  running always makes me feel better afterwards.

i've always loved running and i met paula radcliffe when she signed my race number before the 2011 london marathon she was amazing such an inspiration for me, thinking of what she said really got me through the last 2 miles of the marathon so thank you paula !! Since then i have joined a running club and got my 10k time down to 38 mins which i hope to improve on and have just compleated the great south run last sunday with a pb while wearing a history stands number on my back to show my thanks to paula !! she will always be the champion we all know the truth.

Running has also really helped me this week as i got made redundant on monday and have been job hunting most of the days and in the evenings i have been running down the beach to clear my head and take the stress away which has been amazing.

Good Luck to Paula for 2012 go team radcliffe !!

After winning my first team trophy with my club last weekend, this weeks running has been inspired by the desire to win an individual trophy.

What's inspiring me at the moment is that I have a London Marathon place for next year.  I'm running for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund in memory of my boss who died in October as a result of the disease.  The survival rates for this type of cancer are the same as they were 40 years ago and the money raised will go to research the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.  The training's going to be a long, hard slog, but I'm reassured knowing that I'm working towards a long-term goal.  It's my first marathon and I know I'd be gutted if I made it round the course and someone tried to take that acheivement away from me, so I can't imagine how Paual feels to have her World Record taken away from her.  History stands and I'll support this campaign until someone at the IAAF sees sense.

I'd love to be able to show my support with a t-shirt to wear while training.

I am inspired to run by this:

http://twitter.com/?photo_id=1#!/jenjenruns/status/133651136140935168/photo/1

The beautiful sunrise and sunset is enough to drag myself out of bed at 7am to go for a run before Uni.  I feel truly blessed to have seen such beautiful scenery on my morning/evening runs in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Paula also inspires me, especially her biography.  She is one truly amazing woman.

I was inspired by the competitors I observed at my state's high school cross country State Championships.  I witnessed runners pass out and fight to get up; I watched wheel chair competitors race just as hard as able-bodied athletes; I observed individuals from different schools celebrate with each other at the finish line.  I saw the spirit of cross country.

I was inspired by the wheelchair, moms, dads, and grandparents who ran and finished this past Sunday's NYC Marathon.

Did anyone find out how to get hold of one of the tshirts?
Posted: 29/11/2011 at 13:34

Still desperatly trying to track down one or two of these shirts....does anyone know where they can be purchased? Cost is irrelevant - this is a campaign worth supporting.

Buying Italian and Spanish debt may require the ECB to massively expand its balance sheet and open it to accusations of bailing out profligate nations, breaching a key principle in the euro’s founding treaty and undermining its credibility. Within the ECB’s ranks, Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann voted against the resumption of the program. Thanks for sharing.

Mountain climbing or traveling across glaciers or snowfields requires above average eye protection, because sunlight is more intense in higher altitudes, and snow and ice reflect additional light. Popular glasses for this use are a type called glacier glasses. Thanks a lot.

The progression of footwork from the lowest angle slopes to the steepest terrain is first to splay the feet to a rising traverse, to kicking steps, to front pointing the crampons. The progression of ice axe technique from the lowest angle slopes to the steepest terrain is to use the ice axe first as a walking stick, then a stake, then to use the front pick as a dagger below the shoulders or above, and finally to swinging the pick into the slope over the head. Thanks.

The film is processed to invert the negative image, yielding positive transparencies. Such positive images are usually mounted in frames, called slides. Before recent advances in digital photography, transparencies were widely used by professionals because of their sharpness and accuracy of color rendition. Thanks.

Notify everyone on the team of the date and time that the photo is to be taken several weeks in advance, so arrangements can be made for all team members to be present. Include in this photo the team members, the coaches and other people who help the team, such as the grounds crew. Tell everyone to wear their uniforms for the shoot. Thanks a lot.
