Run With The Sun: TUI Marathon Palma de Mallorca Want a Mediterranean holiday with a twist? Palm-lined, paved and traffic-free, the TUI Marathon Palma de Mallorca on October 17 2010 is the perfect way to explore. From the grandeur of the historical La Seu Cathedral to the finish line at Parc de la Mar, the route winds past Moorish Spain's most beautiful sights. A record 7,345 runners lined up last year, because Palma isn't just about race times – it's about getting everyone involved. Whether you opt for the marathon, half-marathon or 10K, there's a race for you – and with the UNICEF Kids Run, there's a race for all the family. For more details visit www.tui-marathon.com. Run For Good in the TUI Marathon Charity involvement in the running industry has grown substantially in the past few years, with runners raising millions for charities year-round – and many have inspirational stories behind their fundraising. Charity doesn’t begin at home when you’re a runner – it begins with a public promise to raise as much cash as you can. At any major race in the UK, 75% of runners lace up their trainers with a good cause in mind. Together, they raise millions. TUI donates €5 to UNICEF for every child that participates, but this year they want to reach more runners, fund more charities and help more people through the ‘Run For Good’ campaign. ‘Run For Good’ is a new forum, a space online to publish your fundraiser photos, share your inspiring story and offer advice and tips to other runners. Any runner, any cause: all are welcome to share. For your chance to win a place in the 2010 TUI Marathon Palma de Mallorca including travel and accommodation provided by Thomson Sport, we want to know why you choose to run for charity and who or what inspires you – share your stories at www.runnersworld.co.uk/runforgood. Six runners up will also win a full set of Pearl Izumi running kit, including a sun-blocking visor to SyncroFuel shoes. So whether you are racing yourself, or you would like to nominate a friend, visit www.runnersworld.co.uk/runforgood and start sharing. Charity begins here.
