What Are You Like?

You're not alone! Here's what over 125,000 typical runnersworld.co.uk members say about their running

Posted: 17 June 2004

You can find out in our brand-new reader profile survey!

In the nine months since we last looked at your runner-profile pages, our membership has doubled to 125,000. Time for an update!

As well as the few compulsory fields that new members fill in, around half of you go on to complete your optional profile pages (these tell us more about who reads the site, allow you to share a bit about your running with other runners – and give you the chance to win a monthly new-members prize).

That’s how we know that 12,500 of you have been running for over 10 years and that there’s a good chance that 42,500 of you will be lining up for a race this month.

If you're a member and you haven't filled in your My Profile page, do it now! It makes you eligible for our monthly prize of £100 of prime Asics kit.

Blimey! Load of old codgers on here isn't there? Average male age 37.

I am in the highest percentile for the type of running I do, am in the lowest for number of years, second highest for how often, lowest for mileage, highest for surface, and in the middle for reason. Below average for age.

I am apparently 59% bloke and 41% female - no wonder I get strange looks in the bogs at work. Must stop squatting in the urinals.

I know, I know...took it too far
Posted: 23/06/2004 at 21:17

Not realy there are womens urinals we have been investigating them at work....

Think I had better add at this point that I work for an interior design Company... The one which designed all the toilets at Harrods (£1 a pee). The research trip for this was quite fun as two designers were sent out into London to take photographs of the Capitals best bogs... They said the funniest was Planet Holliwood which at the time had state of the art electronic sensors that flushed the system when you walked away. They had lots of fun trying to get out a camara whilst avoiding the security staff and other customers!!!
