In short: very scenic views on the loops, lovely runners and marshalls, friendly event and a good day
In full: this was my first event with BTL,had read previous reviews that didnt make it sound too well organised but i thought overall it was all very good. parking was easy, sportscentre easy to find. the marshalls all round were helpful and friendly, local support nice too. found runners of all levels friendly and encouraging towards each other, medal was nice design. water stations were frequent and not too close together making good points to aim for between mile markers. weather was a bonus and overall for my first marathon i couldnt have asked for a better day!

In short: beautiful villages and scenery, a full mix of terrain
In full: this is a good xc HM, maybe not for beginners as multi terrain.lovely scenery and a good mix of surfaces to run on, so something for everyone.the canal tow path was pituresque and the views across fields lovely too. a nice number of runners and names and numbers called out when crossing the finish which was a nice frienddly attentive touch to the event. nice medal and tshirt.

In short: a scenic run, with brilliant support from marshalls and friendly supporters all round
In full: this was a race set in a very pretty village-enough to take your mind off the hills!on arrival, everything was easily located and set out clearly. good crowd support from the runners who had completed the 5mile run and cheered on the 10milers as they came through for the 2nd loop.nice that the certificate at the end was personal and marshalls took the time to note split times and record it. the strong winds made it a challenge but id definately do it again. the small amount doing the 10mile made it more friendly.
