In short: Good PB potential.
In full: I don't agree with previous comments about the confusing start, unless you were deaf there were plenty of announcements on the day over the tannoy.
Nice or nightmare finishing on the track you decide.
Great for people to watch due to laps and track finish.

In short: First 12.5 miles mixed race with half marathoners, so you have to be careful not to get into a race with them at this stage! 2nd half a lot quieter as you head off into the sticks. Not a PB race but well worth a look.

In short: Beautiful location and a lovely route, but a bit underwhelmed with the start and finish.
In full: Beautiful setting and a very interesting course taking in the scenery along a former railway line which is now the Tarka trail. Some people say this is a PB course, which I would disagree with as there are some short sharp climbs and also there can be a strong wind blowing off the Estuary, particularly as you go through the railway tunnel. Support along the parts of the route can be thin or non- existent. The start is the most understated I've ever come across, merely a chalk mark on the road, I had to ask where the start was and still couldn't find it until lots of people started lining up on a side road! The finish was well supported but could have done with a commentator for a race this size.

In short: Huge hills, the only flat is the playing field it starts and finishes in. Race if you are experienced otherwise enjoy the magnificent scenery. Well worth it.

In short: The race is definately one of the best. The course is interesting and scenic and it is good to pass other runners on the 2 lap course.
