In short: Few problems as far as I was concerned
In full: I've done this run each year as I was so inspired by Jane herself. Most of the problems I have encountered in previous years were ironed out but can see there might have been problems for faster runners.

I arrived just after 8.30 but saw no warm ups. Didn't hear them telling people to start in order of runners, joggers, walkers and couldn't hear anything else that was being said from the stage.

There were a couple of bottle necks in the town centre which was slightly frustrating as we could see some runners on the other side of the road going a lot faster.

There was plenty of gatorade and water around at the start, during and after. My main gripe (as it has been each year) is why does the Gatorade just after the halfway point come in cups and not bottles? No one can drink it and run. I put mine into my empty bottle as I had anticiapted this problem.

Put this into the context of why people were there and the organisation it takes and there isn't a lot to complain about.

In short: The atmosphere makes up for the lack of scenery.
In full: I's a lovely race for the atmosphere. The things that puzzle me are why the Gatorade is in cups at the halfway point and why the drinks, chocs and t-shirts aren't in the bags already when you pick them up. Apart from that small gripe everything else for me went like clockwork. Good support and the band is a nice touch.

In short: Has flaws but still really enjoyable.
In full: Better start arrangements this year. After the finish it was chaotic as there was no real queue to get your goody bag/t-shirt or hand in your chip. Had to ask where to go for things. Gatorade in cups during the run was not a good idea. No markers seen until the 5km marker. Probably being picky as still thoroughly enjoyed the run and atmosphere.

In short: You can't beat the atmosphere
In full: Despite the crowds you cannot beat the atmosphere.

Didn't like the new starting pens. Okay I'm not a fast runner so I have tried to be in a responsible starting spot in previous years. This year it took 50 minutes just to get to the start line!
Why isn't it drummed into people that if they are going to walk to pull into the edge. I turned my foot over on a discarded bottle as I was trying to get between two groups of walkers.
The support is absolutely brilliant, people along the way were giving out so many goodies and shouting support. Loved it!
