In short: good, challenging course in pleasant urban surroundings with excellent marshalling and admin
In full: New, faster course provides a fresh challenge. Excellent mashalling support on the course for all runners must make it one of the most welcoming for beginners and slower runners alike

In short: superb, friendly organisation, excellent start and finish facilites, enthusiastic marsahlls make this a great race
In full: If Carling did HM's than all races would be like this!!!
Even the weather was near perfect after an appalling week.
Chip timing greatly helped in producing speedy and accurate results but a minor quibble - why not use the chip times for placings, say after the first 50, and this would remove much of the pressure on the rather congested start?
Cannot praise this race too highly - only trouble is the restrictions on the size of the field means that many cannot get in to experience it but if the field got too big it may lose some of its attraction!!

In short: superb race with excellent start and finish facilites, friendly and enthusiastic marshalls
In full: The organisers deserve huge praise for getting this event on despite the ever increasing problems with jobsworth local authorities and long may they continue to do so as well as for the rally friendly and enthusiastic support engendered by all marshalls around the course. Great advert for Knavesmire club.
How many races have escalators to take one up to sumptuous lounge and refreshment areas where one can watch a video of the race just after it has finished??? You can here.
Scenery - in mid January - forget it- and concentrate on a well thought out fast course with PB written all over it

In short: Demanding two lap course with rewarding dowhill finish
In full: Sun shone as usual for this race and Harrogate looked its best.
it also meant thate there were over 200 entries on the day so congratulations to Harrogate Harriers for accomodating them so well. Good organisation though start could be improved, friendly marshals and lodspeaker finishing commentary was nice touch.

In short: like fine wine this race improves year on year thanks to excellent organisation and enthusiastic support
In full: It's January, it's cold with an icy wind coming off the moors, but there is 13.1 miles of flat, fast tarmac ahead, a warm welcome back, excellent pre and post race facilites for runners and supporters alike and a welcoming mix of all abilities.

What more could one want!!!
