In full: Hats off to lifeLeisure and Stockport Council for taking a risk with this. Closing roads is a gamble. Brilliant for the first time its been run. I loved the variety in the route and fact it started and finished in town centre -very accessible for out of towners coming by train. Marshalling was excellent. Great for 10k first timers. Very friendly. Long may it continue

In short: I prefer the sand to hills anyday. Great opportunity to crash out on the beach after with an ice-cream with the family
