In short: BY GUMM!!!
In full: By eck! what a run, bags of true Yorkshire grit on display. Hilly, part trail, part road, part track and the most spectacular scenery from god's own county! great organisation, a weeks worth of shopping in the goody bag and an ace long sleeve tech t'shirt that I will wear with pride. This is a must do race, and I will certainly be back.

In short: Proud to be part of the event
In full: I wanted to do this run as my little tribute to Jane Tomlinson, an amazing human being. It feels like this race will become a major event, to match the likes of the GNR, but its early days and it needs a little fine tuning. its a good distance for beginners, and for crowds, there were a couple of bands on route and I think in future the pre and post race organisation will become smoother. but for atmosphere and emotion it is forming a fitting legacy, long may it continue

In short: great race, fantastic scenery and very friendly
In full: A bit hilly, but for every hill there is a downhill absolutely beautiful scenery take your paints and easel and knock off a masterpiece while you run! Just a quick bit of praise to all the runners actually. I was at the back, (i'm not very quick) and I saw very few people that could run, walking obviously well trained and motivated. The atmosphere was friendly the marshals were great as was the entire village. A great race that I'll look forward to doing again.

In short: The Perfect Marathon!
In full: Made a week of it in the highlands with the marathon in the middle. Tough but fantastic, you must do this one if no other, and if you do, look back when you get to the 17 mile mark. If the hill doesn't take you breath away, the view will!

In short: An experience in your lifetime, unforgetable, uplifting, awesome
In full: I sat in bed and watched the whole of the first London Marathon and some where inside I wanted to be there to feel what it must be like to cross the finish line. Well it took me twenty odd years to even start running a few failed attempts to get in, but on Sunday along with a few thousand others I realised a dream. I wasn't very quick, but I was there and I did it, and now I want to do it again.
