In short: 3rd year, will be back again
In full: After doing this for two years with MISERABLE weather, it was lovely to take part in 2009 with perfect race weather & then glorious sunshine to enjoy the fate & hog roast.
Thanks to the organised and marshals for another great event.
Only comment I would have is that the start felt a little disorganised. A loud speaker/PA to announce the start before the horn would have helped.
Other than that a great day :-)

In short: Good first running of this event by NC&TC
In full: Well organised event, with great support from the marshals.
Smaller number of participants & good spacing of swim starts seemed to work well - I was well spaced from the two either side of me & didn't see any 'crashes'.
Only comment: a line on the road marking the finish would be good. Wasn't sure quite where it was!

In short: Not as hard as I thought
In full: Enjoyed this, but perhaps didn't find it as hard as I thought it would.
Comment would be on the organisation - I'm happy to change in a tent (and often do at races) it was just a bit disappointing to have no ground sheet or sufficient number of chairs in the tent. Bit hard trying to keep your clean clothes clean when there's no-where to put them. For £24 I hopped they could have done better here.

In short: Ummm.......
In full: Overall I enjoyed this race.

Organisation at the beginning was poor. The queue for on-the-day entry was HUGE – not a problem for me as I’d entered before hand, but it did make finding the (indoor) toilets & bag storage difficult.

On the subject of bag storage – none of the ‘officials’ we asked knew where it was. On finding the ‘room’ all we could see were people wondering about asking if there was bag storage & being surprised that it was unattended. If there had have been a lady sitting in there (which I don’t necessarily believe there was - sorry) would it not have made more sense for her to be sitting back from the door & reassuring people that the area was supervised (I ended up running with my car key, mobile phone & £20 note in my bum-bag). A person sitting in the corner of a room does not equal 'secure bag storage'. I'd be really impressed if she was able to remember every person who put a bag in & note any strangers rumaging in it later!!!!!!!!

The finish was also a bit hectic. Would have made more sense to funnel people away from the finish & then remove chips etc. Too many people in a small area.

But saying all the above, I’m now prepared for most eventualities at races so wasn’t too bothered by the problems. If it had been my first race I probably would have been stressed & panicked.
