In short: Friendly, smaller local run, with beer
In full: It's my first race with beer afterwards - I now realise it should be compulsory. Well organised by the local running club, very rural, very friendly marshals.

In short: Wide open views (of the hills ahead?) - great run & great org
In full: Great organisation and management of multi events (walk, half, full marathon, canix, bike).
Surprisingly dry surface, and even warm weather & sun for much of the run - glad I opted at the last minute for shorts & T, as opposed to leggings, long sleeve top, jacket, gloves etc etc
(Note to Sonia - but don't tell everyone - but book & take the last coach. That gives time for registration, loo queue, final change of shirt & then off ... I hung around in the cold for an hour last year, not this year!)

In short: (Half) - great run, made tough this year by the wind
In full: Half Marathon : Few little niggles (long wait at start ... maybe could do with later coaches) & not many loos ...
But overall great & challenging run with wonderful scenery & some never ending climbs. Was actually thinking and near a pb, until those two late long stretches into the wind.

In short: Fields, scenery, Test valley, hot & sunny
In full: A great 'village' race where the children (18 & 21) also did the cycle ride. Low key,low cost, but great organisation, great route and other than the long gentle slope to start and a bigger hill at 2 -3 miles, all flat or gently downhill. No queues anywhere, good parking

In short: Great 'small' race
In full: Small numbers, mix of surface. Flat (well, nearly). Very friendly marshalls, photographers etc. Turn up, easy parking, run, very easy, no queues to get away afterwards (loos just about on the limit for numbers)
**but I missed recognising the LM winner marshall! and I missed the soup.
