In short: My washing machine will never be the same again!
In full: I had entered this last year but was unable to take part due to injury. Was determined to be there this time despite being relatively unfit.
The first part of the course was much hillier than I expected, the bogs were fun and the 'Hills of Hell' were nothing like as bad as I feared.
I paid for my lack of fitness though, struggled to finish and finally came in 4th from last.
No problem with contents of goody bag but would have liked water at the finish - and a T shirt that fits (had to make do with what was left)! Showers were filthy by the time we got there but no problem getting out of the carpark - we were almost the last to go.
I would do this again but not until/unless I have regained fitness.

In short: Stunning scenery makes this one special.
In full: This was a fast race and somewhat lonely at the back. However, this was more than made up for by the support and encouragement of the marshalls and sweeper.
The sunny weather emphasised the beauty of the surroundings, probably the most scenic race I have done.
A nice memento for all finishers, the shoe bag will be much more useful than yet another t shirt!

In short: a well organised run through great scenery
In full: Good parking, lots of loos and clean showering facilities. Plentiful water and sponge stations which were welcome given the heat, as were the locals with hoses and jelly babies. There were a few hills but nothing too challenging and the scenery more than made up for them.
Many thanks to the marshals who did a sterling job.
The only draw back was the stretch of road that we had to share with two-way traffic. I was forced to walk here because there was very little room at the side of the road.
The hog roast at the end was a nice touch, pity I didn't feel able to take advantage of it.

In short: local 10k with PB potential if it's not too hot
In full: The 2pm start is very trying when the weather is hot, I would welcome a move to an earlier start. However, it was nice to see extra water on offer on the course, and plenty available at the end.
This is a popular event the the course can get congested in places but the flat terraine still gives the potential for a good time.
Marshals always friendly and helpful despite standing around in the baking heat for several hours.

In short: A well marshalled event
In full: Organisers couldn't be held responsible for the grey, windy weather which made the run along the prom, in particular, hard and boring. Medal and T shirt to finishers. Nothing exciting but will do again as it is a local event.

In short: a well organised run through urban Eastleigh
In full: This race was well organised and marshalled. Strong police presence and road closures made it safe and no need to keep looking over your shoulder for traffic. Most of the people I spoke to seemed to be well outside their PB, not sure if that was down to the course or the windy conditions.

In short: A challenging course through lovely scenery
In full: Well marshalled with lots of water stations. Lots of hills, but the views from the top made it worthwhile.

In short: A scenic challenge for the New Year
In full: Foul weather, but the organisers can't be blamed for that! Challenging hill early on, made up for by the lovely scenery at the top. Free hot drinks, Mars bar, soup and hot dog at the finish make this very good value.

In short: Fun and well organised
In full: A great race and very well organised. The 2.00 start means that one race seems to take over the whole day however, and has the potential for being very hot.
