In short: flat, well organised, sea-front race (hence a touch wind-sensitive)
In full: Despite the very strong winds making chasing fast times impossible this year, it was a nice run, with here and there pockets of people offering support.
The long straight out and back route isn't exactly scenic as such, but sea views offer some distraction. The section in the little park around the turnaround point offers some variation and an opportunity to claw back to a few people in front or drop some peope. (It offers opportunities to mess up your rythme too I guess).
On a windstill day it's definately a course to challenge the old pb.

In short: Very well organised, only the long drag along a fairly busy road lets it down a bit t
In full: Very comfortable race HQ in the stadium, very slick organisation, only quite a lot of pavement running along open roads, which beginners might find a distraction or need for extra concentration they could do without.

In short: Nice enough course, only one hill really worth mentioning and nice fast downhill 2 miles to finish
In full: I do feel I'm a bit stingy rating this an average race, but i'd hesitage to really rate it 'special' either.
Good race is what I'd say overall, I haven't raced enough to know if an 'average' race is as good as this ;-)
I quite like the course, a bit exposed and windy at places and that hill at mile 4 takes the PB potential of this race a notch down, but it's keeping you interested with a few undulations so that's not a bad thing either. Being truthfully told by the marshall at mile 8 "it's downhill now to te finish" does make you feel like pushing it.
Big sporthal as race HQ so close to the start is convenient, lots of portaloos definately appreciated by all.
Good work IEK

In short: I just can't imagine anyone doing this and not wanting to come back for more the next year
