In short: 2nd year for me and will be back again next year
In full: yes it was hot but organisers cannot do anything about that you just have to accept what mother nature throws at you, every thing else was great a runners race set up by a knowledgable running club the field of runners was a good size and you had no worries about company along the route, thanks to all the marshalls and all the local support outstanding.

In short: had a great time
In full: callenging under foot due to the rain we have had over the last week or so,needed to be wearing fell/trail shoes for grip.great organisation and marshalling, course was undulating but pleasant on the eye, medal goody bag and cakes were very nice.the presentation took place in sports hall which really ecoed a lot of noise making the presentation hard to follow the organisers through should look into the way they allocate trophys to many going to the same runners maybe they should adopt halstead marathons trophys one per runner so if you win the outright race and you are vet 2 you dont receive the vet2 trophy that goes to the next competitor.
