In short: Only a special race because it is the santa dash
In full: I love running with 1000's of other santas - but no hope of a PB unless you are at the front and used to running in felt! Great medal this year but the organisation at the bag and t-shirt collection point was awful, could do much better.

Great race if you're looking for amusement and fun - don't take it seriously :-D

In short: Nice race but let down by the organisation, not sure about the route
In full: Enjoyed the day but felt that it was let down by the organisation, baggage was none existant - someone could have easily stolen stuff. The toilets were a shambles as they were placed in a strange block making sensible queuing near impossible. I didn't like the fact that we passed the finish at the half way point and it was far to congested in some areas. Not sure I'll do this again - Oh and an 11am start in May made it too hot. (and it was only cloudy)

In short: Great race, nice views and a pretty medal
In full: Good first 1/2 marathon thought the hill is a killer. A little annoyed at the fact that they were taking down the mile marker before the slower runners / walkers had finished - it was quite discouraging and there were people behind us.
Overall though a good race with a very encouraging crowd.

In short: Running as Santa - great fun
In full: Good race but early start. Great goody bag and medal. Santa suits are very hot to run in so I didn't - walked it and got some great photos. Will do this every year.

In short: Ice puddles and more hills than expected - but lovely marshalls
In full: Great race - only 81 people as it was very cold and icy but the marshalls were lovely helping us poor peeps at the very back. Will def be back next year with the aim of not being last.

In short: Good race, some nice views but shame about the goodie bag and finish line
In full: My first 10k had a great start with time markers but at the end the giant balloon was not the finish line as it so clearly claimed to be - it was actually several meters further, er why. Did provide water at half way (ish) point, but could have done better on the goody bags that contained only medal (but was fab) t-shirt (ran out of small) and water. Will be back next year regardless

In short: Great race, well organised with plenty of water
In full: This was a very hot day but the organisers had more than enough water for everyone, Great goody bag and nice medal.
The only down side was they had too many ggody bags and just threw them away after inviting you to help yourself. With food and t-shirts inside I'm sure they could have donated them to a charity etc.

In short: Great beginer race, 11am start made to too hot
In full: My first race and I really enjoyed it but the 11am start made for a hot race, well organised with walkers starting behind the runners. Flat as at Aintree race course so good for PB but more a fun run that a race.
