In short: Germanic efficiently, extremely well organised
In full: This event was the best organised race I have been to in the UK. Although the marathon feild was relatively small I would not be suprised if in a few years this race attracts many more runners.

At every turn in the course there was a marshall, not your standard arm waving lemming, but one who would actually tell you exactly where you needed to go what side of road etc. Also the young lads marshalling towards te end were extremely encouraging and put a smile on my face at the end of a long run.

I might not be back next year, but definately one I will recommend and definately consider for the future.

In short: I ran the 10k...
In full: This was a good race and I only entered the 10k as a marathon warm-up. It dawned on me when I arrived the my race was going to be problematic with the 10k runner starting after the half-marathon runners.

Within the first mile of the race I had already caught the slower runners of the half-marathon (which annoyed me as I got held up and also the other runners that I was passing).

I would propose the 10k runners should start with the half marathon runners. Needless to say this was still a fast course and I managed a 36m run so I will not complain.

I felt the race was very well organised apart from the above and will be back for next years race.

In short: Great First Ultra
In full: As my first ultra, I don't think I could ask for more, everyone at Ambition Events was massively friendly and so were the runners. Checkpoints had some good food, even cakes from Costa, yummy!!!

In short: Very welcoming
In full: This race had a very nice atmosphere and great views some people seemed to complain about poor marking of route but I didn't think there were too many dramas and I was out on my own a lot of the time. Good XC half
