In short: great race, sham about the weather
In full: first timer ... great atmosphere with wonderful marshalls and a good smattering of drinks stations which meant that next bit of mars bar was not too far away .. playful hill at the start and finish, i did say never again but thinking about it 48 hours on .. i probably will be back

In short: Brilliant organisation, great mud, just a bit too hot!
In full: having never done the grizzly before i was very impressed with the organisation, plenty of water and a t-shirt that actually fits and was the size circled on the entry form ... well done organisers, will be back again next time for my mud bath!

In short: bit on the damp side ...
In full: really enjoyed the day, good atmosphere if not a little soggy both on the course and in the changing room after ... bit disappointed at no small t-shirts left by the time I got in, despite asking for one on the entry form ... left with a huge large one which is just too big for anything. If anyone wants to swap let me know!

In short: Great day, shame about the wind!
In full: A really enjoyable day for my first marathon even though the start for me was a bit confusing as a) I couldn't quite find it so ended up way at the back and b) didn't know we were off until heard the gun. The hills were 'fun' the scenery on the cliff road bit was worth while, shame about the gusty head wind which made it hard work. Great work water marshalls!

In short: Different route than advertised
In full: Did the half - Good day although spoilt a bit by lack of toilets at the start but understand that was beyond the organisers control. Was it just me but I had a totally different route sent that went into Chudleigh and up a hidious hill that I had mentally prepared for and equated into my running speed. We then turned right instead of left and it was relatively flat, not knowing the area that well meant I held back ... could have gone a whole lot faster if I had known. Agree about the bag but nice medal. I'd only do it again because its local and there was a good atmosphere amongst the other runners

In short: Too hot enough water!!
In full: Enjoyable race, lovely scenery but just too hot and not enough water, disappointing no sponges which are a bit easier to carry than those dinky plastic cups, thought we needed an extra water station on the hill half way between Torquay and Paignton considering the heat. The finish was a bit naff, had to wait in a queue to be signed off! Would do it again though, nice and local for me.

In short: First time but going again
In full: Living in Exeter meant I knew about the 'undulating' hills having practiced them in training. The crowd support was great I didn't mind the repeated lap but agree more could be made of the other more picturesque areas of Exeter such as around the Cathedral and Quay although the Quay would mean another hill. Well organised, baggage bit was easy, plenty of loos, very welcoming ... I'll be back again just for the banana at the finish and key ring and pen found at the bottom of my t-shirt bag ... too easily pleased
