In short: Best race of the year
In full: Fantastic Organisation. Friendly Marshalls. Excellent Goody Bag and T Shirt. Lots of little extras fireworks etc. A race I will come to time and time again. Well done Stockport Harriers you are the best.

In short: If the Stockport 10 can do it why can't the Manchester marathon?
In full: In just as bad conditions in December the Stockport 10 had fantastic organisation - look at the reviews!

This was a very, very poor state of affairs at the end. I doubt if 10% of today's runners will be back next year. What a rip off.

In short: Very hot day. Well done to the marshalls and supporters on route.
In full: Needed more water but only because of the heat.
The cost of this race is very expensive so energy drinks would be nice on the course. Good marshalls and well organised. Nice T shirt and medal.

In short: Fantastic!
In full: The weather was horrible. The marshals were amazing - how they kept going in that awful weather is extraordinary.

In short: Could of been more water
In full: Water station at 6.5k which was too far away. No water left at the end at first although they did get some more. Marshall told me to drink the fruit shoot in my bag. have you tasted those things. Nice t shirt and sunglasses. Nice people and great for beginners. Marshalls were a bit subdued on the course. A few locals came out with their cans of beer to watch. Good support at the stadium. Would do again though.

In short: Best value race of the year!
In full: A fantastic event, with the best marshals around. The technical t-shirt is worth more than the entry fee alone.

In short: Expensive!
In full: You get a lousy cotton T-shirt. Mine was a medium which was the size of a tent. The goody bag was very poor with nothing to eat in it. Having no clock at the finish was criminal and there are no excuses for this. I had to wait until about 4pm before I knew what time I'd done. Luckily I'd achieved a PB (1.19:17) so very happy. On the plus side the course was good and I had no problems with parking or at the start/finish area. A good race that with a couple of tweaks could be a great race.

In short: Certain PB!
In full: This race is excellent and despite the hills it does almost guarantee a PB with a traffic free course. The marshalls are the best of any race and the organisation is spot on. Get it in your diaries for 2010!
