Given all that has already been said, I think the race has now reached it's tipping point. I think the race infrastructure is OK for around 8,000 runners, but I don't think that's really scalable to 15,000 runners. I think if everyone had run on the day who had registered, the scenes would have been chaotic around the start and finish. Bath is a great warm up event for London, so why not have some sort of link with them and leverage some of their organisational skills for putting on a large running event.
