In short: A well organised 4 mile race through (and around) Victoria Park In full: An exceptional race, to my mind. A fast, flat course, well marshalled and with good local support. Clearly visible mile markers, and even 400m & 200m markers from the finish line - a nice touch. The glass paperweight (in place of the usual, dreaded T shirt) showed some imagination. Well done SWAC. In short: A missed opportunity for Liverpool In full: I agree with most of the other reports here regarding the very poor organisation; delayed start, lack of toilets, invisible mile markers, chaos at the car park etc. But I'm reluctant to put all the blame on the race organiser, as there was a distinct lack of support from Liverpool/Sefton Council for this event. 4,000 hungry, thirsty runners wandering around the park after the race could find just two mobile food stalls. One of them was closed. The other, staffed by a semi-comatose pair of irritants, was serving the worst tea I've ever tasted. Date of review: March 31, 2007
