In short: What a disaster!!! FC
In full: Did anyone else have the same problem as me i.e. GETTING TO THE START LINE ON TIME!!
How frustrating DLR, London's only line to Greenwich via the Dockland Light Rail announces a derailment with an hour to go to the start of the biggest race in London -annually.
This meant we all had to scramble to the start via other (multiple) connections to arrive off the train in Greenwich to hear the gun go off.
With increasing stress to get to the start line, up a rather impressive hill, I was tired before I even started the race.
Following we had to leave in our bags and follow BEHIND the fancy dress runners/walkers where originally I was supposed to start at pen4 !!!!
So if you think two and a half hours are sufficient to get from Shoreditch to Greenwich (via London's ONLY transport system) to the start line, you are hugely mistaken.
What a disaster!!! Never again London (as a first time marathon runner).

PS You will have to do better for next years runners.........

PPS Why are runners allowed mobile phones during the race! Very bad idea!!!
