In short: THE PAIN and the pleasure at finishing!
In full: Seriously tough 1/2 marathon and well deserving of it's tag line "the hardest 1/2 in britian". Definitely not for the faint hearted but a great race with a super atmostphere and the finish line is the best one EVER!

In short: Last 1/2 of the year and a great yay to end.
In full: This is my 2nd year doing Bedford 1/2. The course was brilliantly marshalled with really friendly and encouraging people. Facilities were very good, especially since I found the 2nd changing room that was almost empty. The course looks tough on the profile but it's all down-hill from the 9th mile (except last 500m) which is a great finish. One complain was from my support team. The food on offer at 10am was abysmal. Cold buns and bacon are not a good combination.

In short: Hills are my friends! Very fast race.
In full: hills, hills and more hills right to the finish but that didn't stop me posting a great new PB, YAY for me! Marshalls were lovely (if sparse), one at the big intersection before mile 11 would have been great. Challenging route which I like but being on roads with vehicles was a pain. Lots of water and sponge stops which was great.

In short: Nice course, pity no chip timing
In full: Lovely course taking in the burbs, lakes and underpasses of MK. The last mile was VERY long or maybe that was my legs getting shorter. Great marshalls and well organised but chip timing would have been even better.

In short: Great day out!
In full: The race was very well marshalled (friendly and encouraging) and lovely course through the forest. It was really hot, as race was over mid-day, but 3 water stops were well positioned in the shade. Combination of road and trail with a sneaky undulating course.

In short: Ups, downs and mud all-a-round
In full: Very well organised and friendly race. The marshals were really supportive and very helpful (even after the race). Good course with lots of gradual downs, never-ending ups and some mud for fun! It all equals out as you start when you finish. The water stops are at weird places (6km and 9.2km) but when it's raining that doesn't matter.
