In short: Careful you could get hooked.... In full: What a day, scorching temperatures but such such fun. Fantastic "Team Pirate" support and further great support from the crowds all the way round. Marshals and helpers were excellent, nothing was a problem to be sorted quickly. A great day, and will do again Date of review: May 26, 2010

In short: Great early season Tri event, In full: First time for me and I loved every moment. From the car park at the rugby club for registration and marking to the finish at the rigby club and a cold pint of Guinness. A short walk to Cascades Pool for racking of the bike and setup for transition. Quick briefing information for the day from the Marshals and get ready. Everything flowed, easy for a first timer like me, had a really great day and may get back for the September race. Date of review: May 19, 2010

In short: Fantastic, enjoyed (nearly) every moment In full: First time doing the Bristol Half, enjoyed every moment. Thanks to the heffer that stood on my foot before crossing the start line and tore off my chip (£10 to pay) this meant that my time was not recorded at all which I only realised after the event. Then at the last water station when another non apologetic gent kicked my ankle and gave me a limp for the last mile or so. My Garmin also recorded 13.34 miles in 2:01:26 so not bad. Weather played nicely, Bristol did us proud and the crowd were excellent - Thank you. Date of review: September 15, 2008

In short: Wish I had trained harder, much harder. In full: I knew what to expect, I knew it would be hilly doing the 10 miler but I was ill prepared and it was a shame. Great day out, the facilities laid on were fantastic and very welcomed and much needed. The band, hog roast and sunny sunny day were perfect for a total wind down afterwards, I'll be back next year for definite. Date of review: July 20, 2008

In short: I'm sure no one mentioned those hills, great T-shirt and medal, weather and venue. In full: To be honest my achilles had just recovered from the Asics 10k in London so a good time was not on the cards, but those hills - phew. Still, everything was like clockwork, a war-up in a friendly atmosphere a route that took in everything and a great finish. Sadly with only one water station I was thirsty at about 8km and was feeling well dry at the end. I hope the young lady who collapsed at 300m to go was ok, very pale and could have been due to the water shortage. Great effort by SheRunsHeRuns very enjoyable although anyone who finished early had quite a wait before being able to get a snack as advertised. I will be back next year though, had a great time. In short: Slow to get across the start line but good atmosphere all along route. Some bottlenecks but what do you expect with 20K+ crowd. Weather even came out to play Date of review: July 7, 2007
