In short: Good race - issues have already been mentioned
In full: Good race, the issues have already been highlighted. Enjoyed it though, but thanks to the guys who dragged me round to 2:09... I did appreciate it

In short: Nice race, the sum was better than the parts
In full: Enjoyed my first visit to the Hogs back. A bit of a queue for the toilets at the start and a rather subdued atmosphere, but it was very cold. Once the race began, it lived up to it's name and was tough as old boots. Lots of fun and a nice place to finish. Have to agree that it's difficult to get out at the end, but the baggage people were briliant. Not many spectators, but overall a good fun race which is different to most in the area

In short: Tough, but good organisation
In full: Tough conditions and a bizarre hill at the start to go up, but a well organised race with plenty of water, many marshalls and a good atmosphere. Not really PB potential, although many suprisingly did, it's good preparation as a long run for other half marathons

In short: Phew it was hard work up the hills!!!
In full: Wow, how hard were those hills. They were relentless!!!! A nice race which is not really for novice runners except for the bloke who won it who was running his first half marathon. Very enjoyable and some great marshalling, but there were a few issues with marshalls not stopping traffic, especially just before the 13 mile point. Really welcomed the water stations and sponges.
A lovely local race, a great weekend, although camping in the rain was miserable but sociable. Not really a beginners race or PB, but worth doing as it's a great course, tough and the finish is lined with people. Theory says it is downhill second half, but it is constantly up and down.
