In short: Best organised half around!
In full: I've done the event a couple of times before and it always compares favourably to other half marathons cos it's so well organised- there's a few other race organisers that could learn from this!

The marshals and support from local schools in the area make this a race worth running even if the scenery is nothing to get excited about.

Sure I'll be back next year!

In short: A decent run for a sunny day
In full: I was reluctant to sign up for this race after the shambles of 2010 but it's fairly close to home and fell on a free weekend so i went in for it. Much better than the last time I did it- the route was a bit dull but there were less bottle necks. The start still needs some work- it wasn't well signposted and the toilet queues were enormous, but I enjoyed the route and didn't notice any major issues. I may be back next year!

In short: Wet and windy but well organised
In full: I had my doubts about this race after trekking across a boggy field to use the loo at the beginning (I still don't understand the logic- wet, cold feet at the start...), but the rest of the race was really well organised. The marshals were smiley despite the awful weather, the finish was well-handled and goody bags excellent. That all made up for the tough middle 3 miles in rain and high winds!
