In short: Onwards and Upwards....
In full: A very well organised, friendly race. First 7K is a slog uphill, and the last 3K is downhill. Views on the way up and down, particularly around the 6-7K were beautiful - almost worth the slog to get up there! Marshals were excellent - supportive particularly to those of us towards the rear of the field, and some friendly locals joined in with the encouragement too. Entry to the Penistone show makes this a great value for money event - pity it chucked it down this year! The T shirt will come in handy for being spotted on winter evening runs...

I'll do this one again for sure.

In short: Enjoyable Sunday Morning Challenge
In full: This was my first ever "race" and as such I turned up with some trepidation, but this wasn't warranted. I was scared running past the Coking plant - if every hill had been like that I'd have proper struggled - but it turned out to be a good challenge for this complete novice. Very good organisation, both at the start, energetic and enthusiastic marshalling and at the end made it a very enjoyable Sunday morning despite the cold weather. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and will be back. PB and an all time favourite race - but then it has to be doesn't it, seeing as how it was my first!
