In short: Race numbers turned into pape mache when they got wet....
In full: I spent several minutes trying in vain to re-pin to my vest, gave up and carried it instead, when asked for my number at the finish line, I handed the marshal a pile of pape mache...

In short: Great scenary, thin but vocal support, fantastic water stations, good PB potential, but remote location.
In full: Would I do it again? Probably, but it's a long way although a good excuse for a weekend away. I doubt next year.

The out and back course is mentally challenging with respect to the long straight sections.

In short: A grand day out!
In full: It was billed to me as "flat". It's not. Take my word for it. This a hardmans marathon, but super fun! The supurbe organisation makes you forget how hard it really is. Loads of support from marshals and locals out to watch.

Definitely do this one again and again and again...

In short: Can we have rain, or better, snow, next year. Phew it was scorcher!
In full: Great organisation, the sponges during the race were very welcome given the conditions and the oranges and bananas were a nice touch at the end.
