In short: Unique for huge crowd for small select field
In full: This really is special -- I doubt you'd find another race of ~100 runners with a crowd many deep behind the barriers of a closed-roads, city-centre course. It's like the London Marathon in microcosm (without the fun-runners of course, given the time limit). It attracts a good-quality field with generous prizes so it's great for going for a PB -- yes there is a hill in the 2-lap course, but it's not too bad.
Heaps of marshalls, also adding their encouragement.
My only niggle is that the start was a bit congested, and moving it (and the finish) along by 20 metres would solve that nicely.

In short: Nice flat course and excellent weather conditions this year meant a lot of PBs. I liked the track start/finish and chip timing too.
In full: Bottles of Lucozade sport at two drinks stops were really good for getting some decent hydration in without slowing down. The only teensy slowness in the course was a pedestrian underpass about a mile from the finish. Organisation seemed excellent, though the website doesn't get updated much. Definitely one to go for if you're chasing a PB.

In short: Fast course, though rather windy this particular year

In short: Terrific marshalling and water station support, must have been almost as many volunteers as runners..
In full: Heaps of staff on hand and it all ran very smoothly. Course has definite 'undulations' but none of the climbs last too long at least. Frequent water stops and some sponges most welcome in the warm sunshine this year.
