In short: Good Start To The Weekend
In full: I have been meaning to run this race for a while and entered last year but could not run because of injury. A lovely park and well organised the hot day got to me a bit but overall a good atmosphere and hope to run this race again

In short: At Last A Sub 40 mins 10k
In full: A race in my local park, where I run anyway is always worth doing and this 10k is small enough and well organised enough to run. Also well pleased to have finally run a sub 40 mins 10k, all be it being 39mins 59 secs !

In short: YOU ARE FU*KING JOKING
In full: I've run this a couple of times previously, so when I finished in 63 mins and a couple of seconds I was very pleased to have knocked over 5 mins off my previous 10m PB. Rather gutted to now read people saying the course was short....very, very poor effort if that's true. I've never beaten 40mins for a 10k and at the 5mile mark a marshall was calling out the times and when he said 31 mins I was surprised as it would mean a 10k time of well under 40 mins....still heres hoping the course wasn't short, and I will break 90mins in a half marathon at Tunbridge Wells in a couple of weeks !

In short: Local For Me
In full: Heard about the tube delays in 2008 and it poured with rain then, but I didn't run.
Ran in 2009, no delays, weather perfect, time 1hr 31min and secs.
Yes the tube delays were annoying, but can't really fault the organisers and the race was put back 45mins. The announcements regarding this were pretty poor, but the changing area, the baggage drop off and number of toilets are above par compared to many other races I've run.
Apart from a slight wind, perfect running conditions, thought I was on to finally break 90mins for a half marathon, but sagged in the second half to finish in approx. 1hr 32mins 51secs (official times not out yet).
The race has climbs up and down, and is one that I will do again, as it's so local for me. It's quite strange running past your house in an organised race !

In short: Phew
In full: Second time running this, and as I live 10mins from the start, one to enjoy !
After running Paris Marathon 2 weeks ago started to feel a wall at 16 miles, however was pleased to finish in 3hrs 27mins. Definitely recommended with the atmosphere from fellow runners and the crowd being fantastic

In short: Well Supported Race
In full: A fairly challenging race which was very well supported along the route by the locals.

I thought the baggage area was a bit of a mass bundle, and signs for toilets, etc were not particularly good, but overall a worth while experience
