In short: Unfortunate set of circumstances caused major and potentially dangerous problems
In full: Ron and his dedicated team had impressed during the run-up to this event but a lengthy start delay in the heat, poor marshalling and hopelessly inadequate water supplies due apparently to theft, meant that their best endeavours were undermined on the day and a 40% drop-out rate showed just how tough this was. It's unlikely for the same things to happen again and the organisers seem keen to learn and listen. So, although I won't be back, it still has the potential to be a great event

In short: Third time I've done this and I hope to continue as it's such a good event.
In full: As mentioned by others, the revised start/finish arrangement was not good. Unless it was forced on them by Police or Local Authority, they should revert to previous arrangements. However, still a great day out.
