In short: Outstanding organisation
In full: This was a very well organised race, great support from the locals, great marshalls, sensibly priced car parking close to the start/finish, closed roads, Haribo and chocolate in the goody bag for the drive home, nice t-shirt, good route albeit not as flat as I thought it would be. There really isn't a lot to say against this race.

In short: Well Organised
In full: There is not a lot that lets this race down, the last 100m on grass, a single file section in the last mile that spoils the flow of the last mile and water in cups at some stations are all I can fault the organisers for.
More positively, a nice route, frequent water stations, well marshalled, some well above average lavs at the start and Mick n Phil made for a nice day.
Oh Stratford Council, for a day attracting a few thousand extra people, what is six quid to park the car all about? £6? Shocking.

In short: A cracking race
In full: This was my first time at Stafford and I enjoyed, the 'gentle' hills were tougher than I thought they would be. The first half mile was a bit crowded and crowd control in the last 300m could do with improving, a lady with a bike crossed in front of me and the last few metres the spectators were spreading onto the course. Apart from that, a good race, nice T-shirt, medal and free car parking. All being well I'll be back next year.

In short: I cannot find a single fault
In full: There is honestly nothing i can fault with this race. Well organised, friendly,a good if slightly challenging course. It was windy today, hardly the organiser's fault, still set a pb.a great race that is growing in size each year and with such a friendly nature contrasts hugely with the more commercial event two weeks ago in Birmingham.

In short: Good, but the organisers could still learn a bit.
In full: This was a good race let down by a few very small niggles. The start pens need to be better signed and controlled, a line of balloons just isn't enough and the information pack was hopeless. It's not enough to give out two pages of A4 typed info and expect it run smoothly. The organisers should look at say Glasgow and the pre race information given out there.I almost fell over two people walking in the fist km and I was in the 1h45-2h pen. Oh and some more lavs at the start would be useful.
On the plus side, the course was good, a few hills around Bournville and that hill in the last km nearly finished me off. The support on the course from the locals was very very good and put some other races to shame.
The goody bag was good, the medal and keyring were nice and there was more than enough drinks at the end.
In summary, this was a very good race that could be excellent if the organisers spent more than 5 minutes on the website and race pack. Oh and get the public transport sorted for the 'race against climate change'. A joke again, Glasgow Half, excellent public transport. Birmingham, no trains getting to New Street more than 15 minutes before the start.

In short: Another great year for Glasgow
In full: This was my second time in the GSR and despite the congestion in the first couple of miles up to the Kingston Brdige and to some extent in Pollock Park it was a pb for me by 5 minutes. The delay at the start was a nuisance but no great problem. The organisation at the event was as usual faultless. Good running conditions and well spaced water stations made it a really enjoyable day out. Would recommend it.

In short: Good fun, a bit warm and I suspect a little longer than 13.1
In full: A well organised run, I thought the start was good, although we hung around for 45 minutes after registering, I suspect we could have gone off anyway.
I have a strong feeling it was longer than 13.1, my garmin measured 13.4 despite losing signals through the tunnels. The tunnels which weren't that bad actually, a bit of confidence and keep going really.
The finish might have been a little better signed with some countdown markers and the mats were 20-30yds past the finish sign.
Overall a good well organised race, I'll certainly look out for this one next year as it's unique and a different challenge to city based half marathons.
Oh and those bridges are steeper than you think. Especially near the end ;-)

In short: I'll be back next year
In full: What can I say that hasn't been said, well organised, well spaced water stations, lucozade at one of them, a fast, no a very fast finish, great idea to get a text message with your time on 10 minutes after the end, mini marathon for the kids whilst they wait. Moderately hilly, no real lung busters in my opinion but some testers. On the downside, and this really is a minor grumble, we got boxed in on one hill just after the A45 crossing at mile 4 where the course was narrow, usual complaints about ipod wearers.
Certainly, certainly I'll be back next year. A very big hand and more to the organisers

In short: Good race, my first half
In full: A good race, well organised. Not so sure about the uphill start but fair enough. Great running over the Kingston Bridge. I saw a wheelchair athlete being held up quite badly on the first downhill section, it would have made more sense for him to go off at the start. Apart from that, great, good support from the locals, great support from the local sikh community near Crossmyloof station, irritating clowns from Clyde 2 radio station.

Nice race, my second race, first half. certainly do it again.
