In short: Does the race organiser know anything about running (or organising)? In full: Difficult to know where to start. First entry into this race and last. After 5 years of practice I am doumbstruck at how incompetent the organisation was. No pre-warning of water stations. Badly sited water stations, apparently located at the narrowest part of the course. Marshalling pre-race almost non-existant. Unable to get to correct pen. Took over 17 mins to cross the start line. No finish line marking; first I knew that I'd finished the race was when everyone around me stopped running. It was then that I noticed the poorly placed (chest height) timing clocks. This race had the potential to become a classic 10k; unfortunately, after 5 years of trying, it appears to have gone nowhere. (Unless they have improved on previous year's comments; in which case I dread to think how appalling the earlier races were). Date of review: July 4, 2005

In short: Excellent organisation, friendly club atmosphere. Will be looking to do the race again. Date of review: May 5, 2005
